Kazuya Mishima – Frame Data

Kazuya is a relentless 50/50 vortex character who can end rounds off a single correct guess. He is arguably the most consistent version of himself yet, with a mid for every situation and top-tier punishment — if you can handle the execution demands.

Overview

Deadly wavedash mixups and electric punishment; weak small pokes and hard execution.

Heat System

Heat gives Kazuya stronger versions of existing moves—like 112~F and 112~D, both dealing 33 damage and either switching sides or staying put—plus new tools such as F,N,D,DF3, a plus-on-block high with plenty of active frames. Devil Stomp (DB3+4) is a low heat smash that triggers stage hazards and, on hit, grants a mix-up from options like hellsweep, CD1+2, DF3, WS4, WS3, or UF3.

Strengths

Consistency: Works for all levels of play; arguably the most consistent Kazuya iteration yet.Vortex 50/50: Always a threat to win; a correct guess in oki nets huge damage.Mids for every spot: DB1,2, F4, CD1+2, DF4, WS3, B2, CD3+4, 1+2, FF2, FF3, WS1+2 — you can always find the right mid.Elite punishment: Twin pistons, EWGF, and DB1,2 make him a top contender for the best punishment in the game.Stature Kick (DB4): Great keep-out and whiff punish tool.Small hitbox: Hard to pin down, naturally evades certain moves.EWGF i13: a mastered Kazuya player unlocks the ability to launch at i13

Weaknesses & Counterplay

Execution barrier: Need EWGF (f,n,d,df:2) to launch -13 (-14, -15...), otherwise you lack an easy punish.Unorthodox poking: Jab range is short and df1 is not 13f, making close-range jab contests awkward.Heatburst can be inconsistent at times.
Game Plan
Put the opponent in your 50/50 vortex after knockdowns; a correct guess can end the round.Use your deep mid arsenal (DB1,2, FF2, F4) to cover any approach and keep them honest.Punish -15 with EWGF (f,n,d,df:2); your damage ceiling depends on your execution. In heat, use Devil Stomp (DB3+4) as a low heat smash mix-up, but respect that it's -14 on block.Space with Stature Kick (DB4) to keep out approaches and force whiffs.
