Reina – Frame Data

Reina is a versatile, high-skill character who blends beginner-friendly pokes with Mishima execution and stance pressure. She controls the pace of the match from mid-range, then launches into Sentai and Heaven's Wrath mixups to overwhelm opponents. But her linearity and risky lows mean every mistake can cost you – play smart to survive.

Weak to: Step Left

Overview

Fast approaches and Mishima stance pressure; linear tools and heavily punishable lows.

Heat System

Reina's heat grants auto just-frame Electrics (though heat is spent on failed attempts), turns unsafe strings into safe mid extensions, and unlocks a parry in Heaven's Wrath that blocks non-weapon highs and mids – but not weapons or aerial moves.

Strengths

Space control: excellent fast-paced long-range tools.Well-rounded kit: answers for many situations.Stance mixups: high momentum and rushdown potential.Damage: high output and great combo versatility.

Weaknesses & Counterplay

Linearity: most of her moveset can be stepped or walked to the left.Risk: high-risk lows and mistakes can be fatal for minimal reward.Weaker Mishima tools: less knockdown and frame advantage than classic Mishimas (e.g., 1,1,2, hellsweep, f+4...).
Game Plan
Poke with 1,1,2, DF+1, SS4, and DB+4 to dictate pace and create openings.Use FF+2 (Raiden) and 3+4 from mid-range to lock down and enter Sentai. In Sentai, mix SEN.3, SEN.2, SEN.3+4, and the stance throw to keep your opponent guessing.Convert hellsweep into Heaven's Wrath at the wall to threaten wall-splat damage.Stay aware of your left side – your moves can be stepped, so keep your opponent in front of you.
Stances
Sentai — enter: f+3 — Your main pressure stance for keeping momentum and applying mixups.Heaven's Wrath — enter: d+1+2 — Secondary stance to cash out on big rewards and devastating pressure, especially at the wall.Unsoku — enter: U+3, D+3, or B+3 — Evasive stance that sidesteps left, right, or back depending on the transition; offers evasive moves, CH launchers, and a CH heat engager confirm.
